Congratulations on completing the 2018 Exmoor Explorer!

On Sunday 5th August 2018, lots of you took part in our non-competitive mountain bike event the Exmoor Explorer!

The sun was shining on us on Sunday with beautiful blue skies making for some dusty trails – a complete difference to the wet trails of the 2017 ride. The route this year took everyone out through the cattle sheds at Westermill farm and up onto the classic Exmoor that we all love. The views did not disappoint and Dunkery Beacon was the perfect stop on route.

Lots of you took on the full 35 mile loop, in spite of the heat and we hope that every rider who entered enjoyed their time on Exmoor – we hope you all enjoyed a well deserved brew in your 2018 Exmoor Explorer finisher mugs.

Once again congratulations to all and we do hope that you have all recovered.

Your stories…

We heard some great stories on the day about the reason behind your entry and we’d love to share them! Do let us know any stories that you have for us to publish! They could be the reasoning behind your entry or a story from the day!

We would love to see your photos too. If you have any great photos from the day that you would like to share then please send them over to us.

Your times

Man vs Moor is approximately 10 kilometres of wild trail running featuring natural obstacles. Set in the stunning and remote western end of Exmoor National Park.

You’ll find yourself scrambling up and down steep combes, crossing boggy valley heads, swimming in Pinkery Pond and going underground in this truly awesome event.

Getting to the finish line will tough but well earned and you’ll leave with a massive sense of achievement. You’ve taken on the moor and defeated it!
