We will be sending out a post event feedback survey using Survey Monkey in the next few days. Once you have had time to reflect on the event we would be thrilled if you could take the time to let us know your thoughts. The only way we can make a great event better is to listen to the people that count, the entrants.
Join us in 2019 (date to be confirmed, watch this space) for a night run in Long Run Meadow and French Weir Park. There’s a choice of 5km or 10km routes and every participant will be rewarded with a bespoke lazer engraved wooden finishers medal.
Longrun Meadow and French weir park provide an accessible, safe and traffic free environment to enjoy the thrills of running at night flanked by the River Tone. Start by the iconic oak barn, pass by the stunning willow cathedral during your 2 laps (5km route) and 3 laps (10km route) before finishing arm’s aloft outside the beautifully built Centre for Outdoor Activity and Community Hub (COACH). The majority of the route is on hard pack gravel and tarmac paths but watch out for those sneaky grass and wood chip sections that can get a little wet in the winter month’s (all part of the fun!).
We are very pleased to have partnered with St. Margaret’s Hospice on this event. St. Margaret’s Hospice has been at the heart of Somerset’s community for over 37 years, delivering high quality, responsive and compassionate care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness. We are very proud to be working with them and encourage those taking part in this event to raise money for this fantastic charity! To find out more about St. Margaret’s Hospice and their work please do visit their website – www.somerset-hospice.org.uk. Sponsorship forms can be found on our downloads page and guides to set up online donation and tips to boost sponsorship can be found here.
